​As first time parents, of a child who struggled with separating from us, we were nervous when our daughter first went to Red Bridge Montessori House. We were concerned with how she would adjust to a school environment as she was very sensitive and nervous around new people. Thankfully, the teachers and staff at Red Bridge were understanding and worked closely with us to find the perfect schedule for our family, beginning with half days for our daughter and gradually increasing to full days.
One of our daughter’s challenges was a reluctance to speak to any adults outside of our immediate family. However, Ms. Jaime and the other teachers showed patience and warmth which slowly drew her out. What is special about Red Bridge is that it’s a small school made up of teachers dedicated to the children’s personal growth and education. There is a gentle touch and a level of genuine care that only a small, privately owned school can provide.
Watching our daughter’s development has been wonderful. She is now more confident, eager to speak with her teachers, excited to make friends, and loves participating in activities. Seeing this beautiful growth every day completely confirms that we made the right choice when we chose Red Bridge.

Wish we found this place YEARS ago!
We came across Red Bridge as we were contemplating options for our 5 year old son. He hasn’t thrived in part time pre school and full day kindergarten didn’t feel like an option. Jamie was very supportive through my 6 month decision making process. We ultimately enrolled him and now have nothing but wonderful things to say - Miss Cleo is WONDERFUL, they have an outdoor classroom and spend tons of time outside, (love their indoor classroom space too) and all the people we’ve met have been lovely. My son actually asked if he could go everyday, which speaks volumes given how much he dreaded his prior two preschools!
I also love their flexibility in enrollment options! And they send pictures through the app everyday 💗 If you’re on the fence, try it! You won’t regret it!

Free range children make the best eggs, and this is why I choose to enroll my child at Red Bridge Montessori House. In my years as an educator, I have worked as a high school English teacher for Philadelphia Public Schools while completing my teaching degree at Temple University, a child development specialist at Ft. Belvior’s Child Development Center for the DOD, a special education elementary school teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools, as well as a middle school English teacher for Fairfax County Public schools teaching all levels including Advanced Academics Program. After years of working with diverse populations of students ranging in abilities, backgrounds, socioeconomic levels, interests, etc., I have learned that no child is the same, but they all need a safe space to be curious and take risks, learning opportunities that allow choice and encourage the student to incorporate their interests and ideas, real world experiences that foster independence, and fresh air. Red Bridge Montessori House upholds these beliefs and provides the perfect place for children to learn, grow, and thrive.​​

Choosing Red Bridge Montessori House was the best decision for my daughter. Teachers are very dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate. My daughter is thriving and excited to go to school each day. She has become much more confident, independent, and creative.
She recently had a birthday and was celebrated at school (the Montessori way) with a walk around the sun. It was touching to see the care involved in celebrating my child’s life.
